We believe in taking action with urgency and care to serve those who need us most, when they are traveling and stranded. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in those lives! It’s time to make real change.
St. Christopher’s Highway of
Carbon County (SCHCC),
a community-wide faith-based collaborative providing shelter, transportation aid, meals, clothing and other assistance to those finding themselves stranded or passing through the Carbon
County Wyoming community
and in need.
Local churches and law enforcement agencies are contacted frequently by those in need seeking help for travel, lodging, meals, and other services.
SCHCC is now a functioning network of faith-based communities, social service agencies, governmental entities, non-profits and helping individuals focused on helping those in need. Travelers who find themselves in need are helped in compassionate and meaningful ways, rather than simply kicking them down the road to the next community or moving them from church to church for handouts.
Services We Provide
As travelers become stranded in our community, we do our best to help them on their way.
Our goal is to help each traveler with some basic needs.
Ways To Get Involved
~ Contribute financially to SCHCC at PO Box 608, Rawlins WY 82301
~Contribute supplies for the comfort kits or even gently used clothing by call the volunteer phone: 307-321-6688 and set up a time to drop off.
~ Sign up to serve as an on-call volunteer...Don't worry there is lots of training!
~Spread the word to your friends and neighbors that SCHCC is in Business!
